California Governor’s Race Takes Shape

Former U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, a Democrat, appears well positioned to secure one of the two November election spots in California’s governor’s race, as ballots counted after Election Day in the state often trend more Democratic. The second slot is expected to come down to either former Fox News host Steve Hilton, a Republican, or billionaire Democratic investor Tom Steyer.
