London The benches of the ruling party's MPs were dead silent. Usually, rank-and-file MPs would burst into cheers in parliament when the prime minister answers opposition questions. Not on Monday. 

Watching the prime minister's embers, it was easy to guess that a flop-like end to Keir Starmer's brilliantly begun term was looming. 

The only question is when the Labour Party leader will change. Prime Minister Starmer is now in the worst lurch of his career.
