The Prime Minister

The Prime Minister has said that they want to stop children under 16 from using social media platforms. The government thinks this will help keep people safe from bad things they might see online people being mean to them on the internet and spending too much time staring at screens. Some people like this idea but others are wondering how it will actually work. The Prime Minister, Starmer is at the G7 Summit in France now. He is talking to world leaders about how to keep everyone safe how to work together on money issues and what to do about big problems that affect all their countries. In the United Kingdom people are still talking about how money the government should spend on the military. The government is being asked to give the military money because a lot of people are worried about safety and there are many discussions about what the United Kingdom should do to protect itself. Starmer has also told technology companies that they need to do a job of keeping children safe online. He said that if these companies do not do enough the government might make laws to force them to act. People are waiting to see what happens with the plan to ban children from media what the government decides to do about military spending and what comes out of the G7 Summit.
